Day 01, Monday: U.S. to Ireland. Evening departure from Boston, Logan Airport to Shannon, Ireland via Aer Lingus. Dinner is served shortly after take-off.
Day 02, Tuesday: Arrive Shannon. Morning arrival at Shannon Airport. Depart Shannon and travel the short journey to Galway for check into our hotel. Free time to rest. In the afternoon, we enjoy a local panoramic sightseeing tour of Galway City. Dinner and overnight in Galway.
Day 03, Wednesday: Galway - Connemara - Galway. Today we enjoy a scenic tour of Connemara. Travel
along Galway Bay to Maam Cross and Clifden. Continue on via Kylemore Abbey and stop briefly for a photo opportunity. Next we continue via scenic countryside and keep an eye out for sheep en-route to Moycullen and the Connemara Marble Factoryy. Return to Galway where we have some free time before dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Galway, where we can find excellent pub entertainment!
Day 04, Thursday: Galway - Cliffs of Moher - Killarney.Morning departure from Galway. Travel south to Ardrahan, where we pause for tea/coffee and scones at Rathbaun Farms. Here we will see a farming family carry out everyday chores including sheep shearing and watch as the sheepdogs maneuver the flock. Continue on to the Cliffs of Moher, which rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Onwards to Killarney for dinner and overnight.
Day 05, Friday: Killarney - Dingle Peninsula. A delightful day takes us along the Kerry coast to the
Dingle Peninsula, which offers magnificent coastal scenery. Beyond Slea Head, we see the Blasket Islands,
the last outpost of Europe. A full day tour returning to Killarney for dinner and overnight.
Day 06, Saturday: Killarney - Cashel - Dublin. Leaving Killarney we travel over the mountains to Blarney,
where we pause for optional visits to Blarney Woollen Mills and Blarney Castle, perhaps to kiss the
famed Blarney Stone or visit the amazing gardens round the castles. Leaving Blarney we travel via Tipperary and Cashel, where we pause for a photo-op at the historic Rock of Cashel, an ancient castle fortress of the Kings of Ireland. Arrive in Dublin, where the evening is free to dine on your own. Overnight in Dublin.
Day 07, Sunday: Dublin. Morning sightseeing in Dublin includes a visit to Guinness Storehouse, Whitefriars Church and Trinity College to view the 8th century Book of Kells. Afternoon free in Dublin. Tonight you are free to dine on your own. Overnight in Dublin.
Day 08, Monday: Dublin - U.S. Early morning transfer to Dublin Airport for your return flight home. Arrive back in Boston, Logan Airport the same day.
